Exclusive Lil Crazed Interview

Exclusive Lil Crazed Interview

First of thank you for taking the time out to do this interview with us for your website. What are you currently working on? What can the fans look forward to the next few months from Crazed?

I’m currently working on a new album. I’m also working on remixes and covers with other YouTube artists to keep a consistent flow of music going while working on the new album since we won’t be releasing much of the new album anytime soon. I just got back from LA a couple days ago and shot a few music videos out there. Two of the videos were for originals that I’m very proud of. One is called “Tick Tock” and has a positive message behind it. The other is more of a mainstream and party type song properly titled, “Party All Night.” These will be released very soon.

What inspired you to write “Tick Tock” can you give us a little more detail on what that record means to you and why you have taken your stance against “Bullying”?

I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed and read a few posts about a young local girl who committed suicide because of bullying. I didn’t know the girl but it brought back memories of middle school days when I witnessed bullying and did not do anything about it. I always felt bad for the kids I saw getting bullied but because I was afraid of what other kids would think of me, I never said or did anything about it. That’s just as bad as doing the bullying. After reading constant news articles about suicides and bullying, I decided to write a song about not giving up. The song, “Tick Tock” is written as a story with fictional characters but with relatable situations. The message behind the song is more so about not giving up whether it’s because of getting bullied or because you feel that you don’t fit in. Time heals all wounds. When it rains it pours, but the sun will always come out eventually.

How did the record “Party All Night” ft. Michelle Martinez come about?

The record came about while I was sitting at my computer scrolling through beats that I had. As soon as this beat came on, I just started writing and writing. The entire song came to me almost as a freestyle. I just wrote everything that came to my mind and after I finished, I realized I wanted a female singer to help make the song more full. Of course, the first person that came to mind was Michelle Martinez. Her and I have done work in the past but nothing for an original. I knew her voice would be a perfect addition and compliment the song the way I needed it to. And it did.

It seems to us that you are exploring a new sound and you are not afraid to put yourself out there and make records that has both a “Pop” yet still “Hip-Hop” feel to it. How organic has this process been?

I’ve always felt the need to explore new sound and experiment with different genres of music. I’d like my voice to reach as many different demographics as possible. I listen to all sorts of music so when a particular sound comes on, I imagine myself rapping to it and that’s how new ideas for new songs and new sound comes about.

Fans have been asking over and over again. They wanna know when the snapbacks are dropping and do you have any new merchandise coming out soon?

It’s been a long process getting these together but we wanted them perfect for the fans. We’d rather give them the best quality possible that we can get our hands on rather than throwing something out there just for them to buy. After all, they are supporting our team and our movement so it’s only right that we support them with the greatest quality of gear. With that said, they are being shipped to us as we speak. They shall be readily available at the end of this month.

Any potential cities you will be performing in soon?

We are currently in talks with a few cities and promoters. Some of those cities include Orlando, FL, Greensboro, NC, Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN, and a few cities in Australia.
